Does anyone know how to contact Jester (Volker Tripp)?

category: music [glöplog]
It seemed he worked for »Digitale Gesellschaft e.V.« for some time, but unfortunately they told me that they don't have a contact-address. Found nothing on social networks either.

Does anyone know another way to contact him?

Hi, yes, Volker quit his Job at Digitale Gesellschaft in summer this year. Actually he also shut down all his social media channels ... but he is doing fine, no worries :) If you want to get in touch with him, i can give you his current E-Mail-Adress. Just contact me in private.

RaCkLeR, did 'Jester' stop composing music?
It would be a waste of talents if he did, he was one of my favorite top 3 Amiga-musicians.

Cpt. Obvious to the rescue: his (presumably former) contact address can be found in elysium.mod

@Waffemann Yes, he quit composing several years ago. After he left the scene (around 95/96) he focused his musical output on ambient/electronic stuff done with a sampler and his keyboard. He called himself Oddjob and he released few of his tracks on our label we run together called iD.EOLOGY (www.ideology.de).
Meanwhile he is focused on differnet things than music.

Oh, and as most of our old releases still cannot be found on our website after a very lazy relaunch, you can listen to some of Oddjobs music over here at bandcamp ;)

just, if you are interested ... but it's really very, very different from his Music he did on Amiga as Jester, absolutely different style.

RaCkLeR, when I try to listen to his new music (Oddjob - "Melonious Thonk") on that website, I get:
"Error 404 - Page Not Found
Please notice that iD.EOLOGY is currently under construction. What you're searching for will be back online soon!"
on that page.
Thanks anyway.

You can find Volker on YouTube - he is a chillihead (like me) and runs a channel devoted to spicy stuff called Scorch Bonnet.

Thanks Jazzcat.
Didn't 'Jester' also do synth-versions/remixes of some of his Amiga-tunes, like Firefox did?

Jester's music as 'Oddjob' doesn't sound like his old Amiga disco-tunes.

Maybe pouet could use a "where are they now" category.. should I make a demo about it?

@Waffemann Yes, that's why i posted the Bandcamp-Link also...

aaaaand yes, that's exactly what i said in my comment about the different style ;)

Btw., no, he didn't do any new remix-versions of his old mods ... but there are a few around done by some other good artists ... for example i remember one from "Elysium" done by Ronny Pries, which is really good!

Here's one "unofficial" remix done by Hardsequencer a.k.a. Hardy Hard ... he used "Stardust Memories" and remixed it ... and released it without any credit to Jester on an commercial album and a techno compilation

Here's another nice Cyberride-Remix done by Logic Bomb:

for some more remixes you can check out https://www.amigaremix.com/remixes/search/volker%20tripp
