Origins of prod names & things
category: general [glöplog]
greenroom time (like you care..)
touch me - my singer Ekrah (credited as Reika in the demo iirc) just improvized this bit of vocals when we made the song, then it stuck
lézer - y'all know i have a 99.6% chance responding "laser" when asked "what should the title be?" or "what should i put here in the demo?". and i was asked that time as well. we made the prod under 24 hours from scratch because we were fed up with people overthinking and overworking scene releases.
konfrontz0ne - Pasy came up with it after a brief conversation about the comfort zone
rest are either self-explanatory or you should just ask tc2/ir.

ZiF - Zero Insertion Force (socket?) ... naming my strangetechnoidm series as ZiF-001 and so on, mod.ZiF-007 ( flight of the aurora edit 1 ) ended into the Parallax demo and name was taken from it.
The ones I named:
Where the Dead Things Dwell (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=69691)
I was looking for something related to an abandoned facility or so, and finally came up with this title just changing a little the title of an In Flames song I love, "Where the dead ships dwell".
Plastik Dropz (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=61179)
Self-explanatory. It was this or "Jelly Beans".
4k in 5k (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=56875)
Self-explanatory. We were so impressed with Sult by Loonies and wanted to do something like that, unfortunately we were noob enough to know nothing about raymarching so we wrote the intro using actual geometry (the tunnel in the intro is a rounded cube with 3D Tahoma-font "O" characters all around). We were of course out of space so we could not submit the release for the 4k PC Compo because of the fatty executable. So the title was more because we were exhausted and we had not a title for the original 4k release.
Lebenspiel (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=54682)
This title is a clear example of what happens when you try to title your prod in German without actually knowing any German at all. I was intending to call it "game of life" in German, but I think I didn't succee.
ZeroG (https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=59085)
Just ran out of ideas, at the time I read this word (or other gravity-related, similar word) so we used it because yes.
