Today 25 years ago Kick off 2 was released. Happy Birthday.
Something... Related to demoscene/pouet (ok, a bit far fetched, but still...) ... In Dublin? ... Amazing & count me in! (won't play, hope just hanging around is allowed :) )
I actually preferred KO3... :/
no, EC1992!

:O I do hope you mean Goal! and not that crappy game :)
KoF '95
KO 3 was utter crap and shouldn't be mentioned together with KO 2! Goal! on the other hand is the best football game ever. \o\ \o/ /o/ Dino Dini FTW, Steve Screen FTL!
Steve Screech even, damn it!
Consensus is that you obviously played KO3 on the wrong platform.
I guess KO 3 is crappy on any platform, specially compared to KO 2. I only really checked the Amiga and MD versions of KO 3 though. Amiga version was buggy as hell and featured rather crappy code too. Only the protection was semi-interesting.
KO2 had a lot of bugs too but it still was an awesome game. Only Goal! is better than KO2. :)

yep, for the most amigans, especially oldskoolers (late 80ties, early 90ties) KO2 is the number one. KO3 was highly anticipated but was huge disappointment when finally arrived. action was slower, players were ugly, and if I recall correctly, it even didn't work in a single frame.
anyway... back to the topic...
@DaD1916, as website currently doesn't provide much info, what are the rules, in short? i presume that it's played on amiga? is it allowed to use your own joystick? does it needs to be a stock one, or it can be custom modified, etc...

It seems Kick Off 3 on SNES is quite liked, never played that version so maybe it is the good one.
Beat me at Sensible World of Soccer at any demoparty and get free beer.

Yes, the rules aren't up yet. We use original Amigas and we should have 10-15 of them, maybe a c=64 also. A projector or lcd tv will play demos all day. The focus is on playing the game, this is the World Cup after all. Any joystick is allowed, some people bring their homemade contraptions :)

Pop in for a visit. You could 'hang around' but to be honest it won't be much fun when compared to playing in the World cup. Click on the sign up button for guaranteed fun :)
