T$: So yeah, I DO like things like that, like any other heterosexual guy. Just, it doesn't mean I like to brag about it whole day and show explicit jumping "stuff" in my prods, unless there is a very good reason to do it - like a proper audience that is OK with it. Of course, I also understand "trolling" aspect of it, so well, let it be, it might be even funny or "shocking", why not, although for me it would rather make reaction "oh, really", as yes, I've seen "things" too.

Gargaj: just checkout some of T$ or bitbreaker's contributions and you will immediately understand what they like and how to make them happy - it's not really that much what they need ;)

tomkh: I can't be arsed for pouet being so inconsistent on the credits for releases, so for a full selection of prods i took part you should consult http://csdb.dk/scener/?id=1678. Have fun finding the even more upsetting things, or the demos where i felt for showing some skills (+ there's a complete party history). But great that the good old thirsty clown has a late comeback due to that thread :-D I'm particularly proud of the stuff that managed to squeeze out some "urgs" from the audience upon being shown :-D (So it is not always about yeah/boo)
bitbreaker: sure, I knew you are doing other stuff too already, so no offense!

This is basically one of the daftest discussions (also when it originated in the Revision thread) I have witnessed.

Demoscene is anarchistic, at demoparties people are more or less allowed to do - and create - what they like. And that is really what demoscene is about, loose the anarchistic approach and the creative magic (not to forget the fun) would be gone for most of us. Of course, we don't agree on everything. But we do agree that violence, theft and being intentionally mean to others is not acceptable.

If somebody finds pictures of naked females, drunk/stoned people, extreme (but harmless) behaviour or loud music wrong, well, arrange your own party with strict rules - I'll make sure not to attend, as will most other demosceners, I guess.

Sure, the scene has plenty of socially awkward, arrogant or annoying people (and I assume that we all can fall into one of those categories every now and then), but not nearly as many as when we were teenagers in the early 90s, where people would bring baseball bats to parties (and it wasn't to play baseball).

After all, my group (Depth) was basically based on extreme behaviour, nakedness, loudness and generally doing weird stuff to piss eachother and other people off (in case you wonder, just have a look at some of our releases from the mid-90s).

In my opinion, it's really YOU who decides whether to get offended or not.

curt_cool: how about being intentionally mean to people that call others pussies, just because they are vegan, gay or don't get excited about hardcore stuff? Now its a crime two? You see - if you are so cocky and insult people, don't expect others will not strike back.
But to be honest, personally for me, it's ok what you do with nakedness/trolling each other, just well...most of the time boring. And in general I agree - if you have fun with it, it's fine, freedom is a _good_ thing.

You know, show me your vids doing some real stuff (wingsuit base jumping, cave diving, etc...), seriously I cannot stop laughing how come you think showing some BDSM with golden rain makes you a "tough guys" or even "controversial" - like you are so cocky, because you can draw things, woaw!
added on the 2015-04-21 12:33:22 by tomkh tomkh
Why are you so interested in these "tough guys"? Also where's the vegan and gay insults?
added on the 2015-04-21 12:37:04 by Serpent Serpent
hehe, he knows he lost the discussion.
So now... trolling.

tomkh. U R the best! :D
added on the 2015-04-21 12:37:47 by FeN FeN
don't wanna brag about my toughness, but i'm typing this post while riding a unicycle over the wings of an old airplane, juggling chainsaws on fire, blindfolded, and playing bagpipes!
FeN: oh, so it was about losing/winning the discussion, interesting - sounds like what troll would think to me, so yes - you win!

Here you go anyway:
Quote:
Have your vegan food and non sparkling water when watching the stream, all fine you FUCKING PUSSIES.
(by bitbreaker)

Quote:
he didnt say he's tough... just that some people are fucking pussies. are you offended because you're homosexual?
(by Maali to me)

And many many other cocky insults coming from the major trolls around here how other people are according to them "soft", "easily offended", "lame" etc... but yeah, it's me that is insulting people, yeah... righhht...
added on the 2015-04-21 12:44:20 by tomkh tomkh
asking if you're homosexual is an insult? are you that old-fashioned?
Maali: "nice" of you that you pick one thing selectively to refute the whole thing.

But anyway, we are here, because we are bored, ok? There is no other reason, as discussion died long time ago. So let's be at least honest, we just want to chit-chat and bust some balls, and I'm even ok with it ;)

And the "we" was a majestetic plural?
added on the 2015-04-21 13:08:37 by FeN FeN
FeN: yes, you participate in this non-sense too as I can see.
added on the 2015-04-21 13:10:07 by tomkh tomkh
Just to be sure, you did notice that maali's comment was a wordplay?

Also in my opinion if one gets seriously offended by bitbreaker's comment one is quite easily offended. It's very easy to ignore. But what do i know of ppl's limits.
added on the 2015-04-21 13:11:47 by Serpent Serpent
Serpent: yeah, it crossed my mind it might be a wordplay. About offending people: obviously some get easily offended, some less, but you agree that exploiting this fact is nothing but trolling or showing-off at best? Because you know, they will still be easily offended, people will not change into "tough skin" or whatever your real purpose (besides the two mentioned) is.
added on the 2015-04-21 13:15:31 by tomkh tomkh
tomkh: Just stop. You're incoherent and doing damage to your supposed argument.
added on the 2015-04-21 13:19:16 by Gargaj Gargaj
oh. so now people cannot change at all?
