Damn, I should write demos that actually belong to a category! So many thumb-ups wasted... :-p

I think it has to do with the following variables according to the source of toplist.php :
- current date
- added date
- vote average
- number of positive votes
- number of page views which needs to be periodically regenerated from an admin tool (something about cronjob "recacheTopDemos")

These top lists are incomplete and somewhat inaccurate. They do not include every platform or category. There are prods that have not been uploaded that should be on this list. It may include late prior or early following year entries. Then there's that viewcount which can make a lower ranked prod bubble above a 1st place prod with more up votes.
Does anyone else think they can artificially inflate the worst prod to the top with just two IP addresses?
better question yet, who made the worst demos of 2014?
