Doing charades on stage doesn't count. :P
Animation Compo also needs a gaspode entry, that should be added to the rule book actually.

We are really happy to announce our special fast competition.

Pixtur/Still will release the first beta-version of tooll.io at framefields "how to make a demo" workshop at Deadline-Demoscene-Party in Berlin on Saturday, October 4th.

Pixtur will cover the basics and slowly progress to building scenes, keyframe animation, shader programming, and post-processing. If you have some experience with Processing, movie editing, After Effects or 3D-programs, you'll be fine.

After the workshop you can compete in a four-hour fast competition. We will give you a small theme to explore in 75 seconds or less. We'll provide you with a selection of small soundtracks you can choose from, or you can bring your own track. (The main compo rules apply: only original, non-commercial, self-made material is allowed.)

All submitted entries will be shown on the big-screen and the winner will get a small prize.

Btw, for everybody who's already in town on Thursday the 2nd: You can warm up at 8bitBar at Panke Café in B-Wedding, with chip music and oldskool games. Starts ~8pm.

What knos said, nice to have a party in the neighborhood (well at least within a ~40min tram ride) for once. See you there.

I've got a ticket to ride (the train to Berlin). \o/

And a little heads-up for fellow train riders:
Unlike currently suggested on the party website, you probably can't take the S7 from Haupt-/Ostbahnhof directly to Marzahn, you'll have to switch way earlier to the M6 at Alexanderplatz. You should still get to Gewerbepark Georg Knorr though.
added on the 2014-09-29 21:35:43 by ted ted
uhh, I mean "...you should still be able to get to Gewerbepark..."

I'm not trying to dictate your itinerary ;)

ted, you're right - DB/S-Bahn seems to be doing construction work between S Lichtenberg and S Ostbahnhof. There will be bus-lines, but yeah it's easier to go by Tram M6 from Alexanderplatz.

In other news: 40 hours to go till the remote Deadline! 1st Oct. 2014, 23:59 GMT We'll probably extend the deadline though. We'll keep you updated.

Working on your entry till the deadline will be like:

Deadline is coming ...

ok - the deadline for the remote entries has be extended to:

3rd Oct. 2014, 12:00 noon (german time)

For the train travellers: please be aware there MIGHT be strikes! Might, because it is uncertain.

I don't know the details but it seems there is a deadline set by labour unions until October 2nd, and if their demands are not met, after that they may start strikes.
