Capped - Flash Video for Demos
category: general [glöplog]
But you're french, so that's not so strange :)
New:
- Mirror[s] in Germany, some more to come
- CDN for the rest of the world
- Hopefully less lag/stutter on videos using flash-to-framebuffer where available, and normal windowed mode elsewhere.
Etc etc.

New:
- Quality Selection below videos in video page
- Medium Quality videos made for all HQ-h.264 videos... slowly.. this'll take some time..
- The medium quality videos are in mainline h.264, so should work on iPhones, iPods, other phones, other mobile devices.. Will likely not work on some old devices though.
- Download link to mainline/medium quality videos added on the bottom, where available.
Those that got studdering or slowdowns on capped.tv videos - Yeah, you can use the medium quality videos now. :)

micksam7, hooray!
I always have some weird problem with capped.tv from firefox. I know it's not caused by capped.tv itself because some other sites give me the same problem, but maybe someone here recognizes the problem and knows what I can do about it. Basically, when trying to view a demo full-screen, it plays for like 10 seconds and then the video freezes, while the sound continues. When I go back into windowed mode the video updates properly again.
I've recently completely reinstalled windows, and the problem was there before and after, so I don't think it's just some random corruption. OTOH, I have installed the same codec packs and stuff (like defilerpak).

Flash is totally independent of whatever codecs you have [includes h.264 and spark and whatnot else with it], so what codecs you have installed shouldn't matter.
Absolutely no idea why it freezes in fullscreen though, seems like a flash issue.

would this run with lighttpd? if so I might be able to offer a Swedish mirror in 1-2 months.
jaw - Mirrors can run any sort of http and ftp for uploads, so yes that will work. :)
