Its simple damage control, if his main association is/was with Hugi -- and his email was signed off under Hugi, then Hugi need to step in and speak up "We have noticed his email is signed off as Hugi, however he is no longer associated with us". Adok spoke up and made a half-arsed attempt at explaining away Ep's association with Hugi. What he could have done, as a representative, as make a sensible statement to the effect that "Hugi has ceased association with EP and condones his consistently irresponsible actions, we will assist by any means possible to rectify any problems that may have been caused by his actions". .. .even though in Adok's words, that EP ended their association and not Hugi.

here's the deal. as a member of the famed demogroup LOBSTARRS i am sometimes afraid what will happen if that last little wire gets loose in kusma's head. let's assume that that would happen, and he'd decide to break down the scene and start with scene dot org. would you all get mad at me for not "distancing" "myself" and "my group" from this individual's actions? of course not. but because this time it's our favourite bashing target hugi (and rightfully so), certain people are all of a sudden expected to "take responsibility" and do "damage control".
