Shouldn't you pick some other hobby, like football hooliganism or MMA or something like that?In other words, kicking his ass once or twice would be more interesting than leading the public lynch and the sarcastic threads for ages.
Judging by slengpung I put all my money on Baudsurfer in this fight.

lurk more. and occasionally use google.
I am the same age as Baudsurfer, called BBSes at the same time he did, and at no point did we call it surfing in the 1980s. That was introduced by mainstream media when the world-wide web gained popularity in the 1990s. flashgordon's original point has merit.
Whatever Oliver's true history is, he is currently a very talented sizecoder. Someday I hope he redirects the energy he wastes seeking street cred and feeds it into his productions. That's how you earn real street cred: Others give it to you. You can never give it to yourself.
The sizecoding prods he's released during the past few years would have been enough to establish a well-known group name, easily. Yet he chose to release all that good stuff under this "RSI" bullshit act. But it's still not too late, if the prods keep coming.
baudsurfer irl

you are the only one making this surfing claim.
based on alias/handle. wtf.
Congratulations, this is now a shit thread. Close -> Residue
"Baud surf" can be found in a 1713 volume of Serenus Samonicus De medicina https://books.google.fi/books?id=ur5JywlohIIC&pg=PA367&lpg=PA367&dq=baudsurf&source=bl&ots=afrXcQ5SLg&sig=rIjpdLEVC1aEMUDRnxOar0wFVdk&hl=fi&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjHp7uDvvrOAhWB3CwKHQNYBE04ChDoAQgYMAA#v=onepage&q=baudsurf&f=false
I'm a little bit younger than Trixter but still old enough to remember that during much of the 80s, windsurfing was in a boom phase and you'd see tons of surfers on the water and on the road every weekend. Surfing was the cool thing to do before skateboarding made it big, at least over here in my neck of the woods back in the mid-80s. So for a kid to choose a nickname that contains "surfer" back in those days seems perfectly logical to me.
basically he did not only found RSI, he also invented "surfing the web"
https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=surfer&case_insensitive=on&year_start=1800&year_end=2008&corpus=15&smoothing=7 and 'surfer' was in the 1800s as popular as now! so yeah, poor claim.

Iggy Pop may have invented crowd surfing during the Cincinnati Summer Pop Festival (Midsummer Rock Festival) of 1970.[1] Joe "King" Carrasco appears in the first documented video of crowd surfing in the 1981 Rock Video "Party Weekend". Fans have reported that Peter Gabriel crowd surfed at concerts as early as 1982 during performances of "Lay Your Hands on Me".
if he enjoys being talked about he probably has persistent genital arousal disorder by now
