graga: there's Fredericias Sømandshjem Havnens Familiehotel, so I think 1 night there wouldn't hurt if it isn't too much. Besides aren't you guys pretty close to Nyborg / Odense? AFAIK there's a direct train connection from Odense to Fredericia (at least there's a freaking highway from Odense to Middelfart [if you make jokes on the name Jesus kills a kitten]).
