And it has a somewhat shallow ring to it, as it is the same cows that nobody ever gave a shit about while they were alive. but those last 10 seconds of their miserable lifes apparently means a whole lot.....
Funny fact: The difference between a Halal slaughtering and a "normal" one is this:
http://www.acclesandshelvoke.co.uk/cashknocker.htm
and the word besmillah spoken! ...oh wait...."Non penetrating bolt ensures compliance with religious slaughtering requirements" there is no difference today between a "normal" slaughter and a "halal" slaughter in europe and only a few Kosher and a few halal salughters have a dispensation.
The real issue here is not the slaughter itself you see: It's the word besmillah and a demand to drain as much blood from the animal as possible before consumption which is fully in line with European health guidelines, and as our own army of butchers realised eons ago, cutting the throat on the animal does get the job done...nomatter what you tell the animal as you kill it!

havoc: The bear incident would not have stared if there wasn't a "wonderful human drama" involved. Lots of hunters make the prime mistake of 1) letting their dog go to scare up some deer 2) the dog finds a bear instead and decides to pick a fight 3) the waiting hunter gets to close to the pissed of bear that is thrashing at everyone he can get his hands on. This never makes it to the silver screen.
The shark thing, well that's just silly. No animal like that ever existed.

The way Danes pronounce these words are far from English.
"dag" comes pretty close.
Gloom: this one is better:

Arvid: She was coming to take the TV.
Harald: OK... All right... Where is she?
Arvid: At home. In the living room.
Arvid (adding): And in the kitchen.
"I Kina spiser de hunde" is one of my favourite danish movies, along with "Gamle mænd i nye biler" and "Blinkende lykter".
