There was also some BBS intro with a flying 3D floppy, but I don't have a clue about it. Maybe someone remembers? A 3D floppy in space, ran on VGA on a 286..

I just know that I had a CD or whatever it was with loads of programming stuff on it and it contained quite some demoscene stuff.
first real demos I watched where toasted and machines of madness (yes, I'm "young" ;-))

I keep trying to remember back...but i think that...the first Mindcandy DVD had to be definitive first Demoscene experience for me.
late 80s: C64 Cracktros! I liked the flashing colors, raster bars, sinus scrollers, fonts and listened closely to the music. I remember Beastie Boys, Dynamic Duo but there where much more I can`t recall...
early 90s: Budbrain Megademo was my first demo on Amiga.
mid 90s: Second Reality on PC
1998: Soundtrack for this demo released at Mekka 1998 was my first own contribution to the demoscene:

sth by either G*P, Amok or X-Ample...and ofcoz tons of cracktros, all on c64 :)
I think it might've been the Wild Copper demo - I remember it was fun that they could do rap with the built-in voice synth :-)
What am I talking about - I sold my C64 to buy my Amiga 500, so of course I saw several C64 prods - I definately remember wathing Toaster by Upfront
The first one i really got addicted to: the cracktro for the game Virus by TEX on Atari ST.
