Revision 2015 - 3rd to 6th April - Saarbrücken, Germany
category: parties [glöplog]
as long as i'm still allowed to shout AMIGA and KURWA but not both!
you have to choose :p
You can't shout both at the same time. You just end up shouting some nonsense like AWERWA if you try.

Fei: For the record, I did notice the "eastern european" comment on the speakers, and thought it was pretty bad form... i might have misunderstood something but even we danes took notice. I love all demosceners equally and I could name a hundred western european sceners who have acted like tards throughout the years.
I too heard this, and thought it was a bit over the top. But hell, zE Germans has lived with nazi jokes for 70years(and probably will hear it for 70+ more).
So best is just to laugh shit like this off as satire humor (as It 99,99% likely was)
I didn't hear the comment but it can't be as bad as the constant Dutch yapping on IRC.

I heard it and I understood it to be a joke, as in "Thanks to the Eastern European guys for removing (stealing) all the cars that were blocking the fire lane.". Pretty sure it was not meant to be in relation with any Eastern European cars being parked there or the Ghosttown incident, just a joke riding on an old stereotype. (Whether or not that joke was in bad taste, I'll leave to everybody's own interpretation.)I hontestly don't remember such an announcement. And it's also quite weird since none of the cars blocking the fire lanes were from eastern europe...
Is that all of the photowall pictures? I think couple of last minute ones are missing.
^^Edit: filenames are quite random, just found what I was looking for :)
/me is having a problem trying to evade an uneasy feeling that the large photos above only serve the purpose of hiding the controversial mustache guy.
Am I doing this right?
zoom: I KNEW that I saw that thing before!
After I parked my car on the other side of the lot the majority of vehicles blocking the firelane was German so IMHO the East European remark was totally acceptable.
Yeah, don´t take jokes more serious than their originator intended ;)
Could it have been a DDR joke?
When you see it...
had a great time again at revision this year. it's become a proper grown up festival of the demoscene, not just a demoparty. organising was outstanding, compos were outstanding, great people, even good food.. thanks everybody involved.
i have to ask one thing: was it quieter than usual late at night? we were on a traditional demoparty schedule: get up late, eat, work on demo in hotel, go to party for the evening of partying, leave in the morning.. (eat sleep rave repeat) - and it seemed like after the compos finished in the evening, half the people just .. disappeared. went back to the hotel, went to sleep, i dunno. the weather was bad so people weren't even hanging outside that much. did i miss a key party location, or is everyone getting old and sensible and needs their sleep? :)

I had to give up "early" saturday->sunday (around 2-3), but someone was deffo partying around 5-6 o'clock, since I was woken up by loud music.
Sunday->monday... welll I went to bed around 6:00 in the morning :)
I think those liveacts "kill" people by "forcing" them to dance their ass off.
Oh yeah - age might have something to say too...

THAT!
btw, NTSC/Cocoon was sleeping behind the bigscreen and said it was impossible to sleep because of the music, so I guess people was still partying during the whole night :)

FWIW (and this was discussed at the party as well), it would kind of make sense to turn down the bass on the second stage when almost noone is dancing after 6:00 anymore anyway. It *does* propagate into the sleeping area.
just wanted to say: - thanks for awesome party!
again :)
again :)
Also I'd like to admit that I did actually crease the barcode.
For the first time ever I did lower the volume and the bass most of the nights, I even played psychedelic rock and soundscapes! But there might have been a goa track or two at a certain point during the weekend. Even at that time the volume was a lot lower (and the bass as well) than the acts before me. I'll take it into account, and if I woke anyone up I offer my apologies. If it ever happens again, and I'll do my utmost best to prevent this (seriously) come to the bar and and I'll make you some tea. Really. Sorry if I woke anyone up. If there was noone around I played ambient, soundscapes, country and stuff, but at some point well, if people started to dance the music might have gotten a bit more dancey. It was probably me, so sorry for this. I'll take this into account and will act accordingly. A proper nights rest is more important than a couple of people dancing, so I'm sure we will find a proper afterparty solution that allows people who want to stay awake to have an equally pleasant time as those who want to sleep. <3
