the irony i think is that if we had used ganz graf or something as a source of inspiration, rather than something "non-typical" for the scene like psyop, we wouldnt be having this conversation because so many demos have done it - it's actually considered "demostyle" and a good thing. - so maybe doing _anything different at all_ is the real crime in the demoscene? :)

1\ if you're a famous demoscene group, beeing artyfaggot is leet
2\ if you're not, you're an artyfaggot
3\ it's ok to rip concepts, it's not ok to rip works, because you know, takes work to reinvent the wheel even if you already have a blueprint and stuff, but it takes no work to choose the right selection of already existing elements and place them correctly in a well adjusted sequence
5\ if you only been exposed to it now, it's demostyle, else it's a rip
6\ it's ok to be gay

See, there are no questions on Pouet, only statements. In case a statement from a user such as yourself might look like a question, it must be reinterpreted as a statement. "I'm not sure but", "I think that" or "in my humble opinion" and similar phrases will be filtered out eventually once the code is in place for that, but for now it's up to the users to ignore them.

If you come across a statement (or turn a question into a statement) that appears moderate or even civilized, you must picture Hitler shouting those same words while killing a baby.

It's the rules. And, if you didn't read the above as "ps is a whore", then you're still not getting it. You probably need to start adding an expletive to every sentence you read. Here are a few helpful examples:

"Good luck, guys" is read "Good luck, motherfuckers!"

"I drink milk" -> "Hey, I drink milk, asshole"

"What's up guys?" -> "What the fuck are you doing?!"

That last example is for advanced users. But it all becomes easier as you learn your way around Pouet. Here are a few for the experts, but don't overestimate yourself. It takes years of practice.

"You should come to Assembly 2007" -> "Breakpoint sucks!"

"I don't think you should copy stuff without naming your sources" -> "I swear to God that I will murder you in cold blood"
