Also: Great little party with an awesome decadent party place that didn't really match the party name, but who cares? Would love to see the next Christmas party happening there as well.

Cornetto Scene.

Shit, what an absolutely fantastic party. It may not have been super crowded, but that made the atmosphere all the more personal and cozy (: Was pretty great playing a set. Not exactly a packed dancefloor, but the vibe and energy was good... and of course kewlers balloon volleyball made it all better (:

I kind of left a bit early, quick, and unexpected, but I fell sick again somewhere at the end of the night/early in the morning, and I just wanted to be home quickly. Sorry for the lack of proper goodbyes, I owe ya'll an extra hug or something <3

Yeah, it was the hard (ghetto) core of people I see at other parties and that made it very nice :) Loved the vibe. Hope to see a lot of you people at revision!

There have been some shortcomings in the pre-organization department (mostly communication issues), but the party itself has been extremely well executed for being the first one done by this orga team. Hats off! The location is super nice.

Things that can be improved:

- The name. Nothing about the party has been under construction, nor Ghetto. Instead the party had about the most polished and cozy location one could imagine for a party. The name just doesn't make any sense. I have learned that unlike Viprinet, other potential sponsors had issues with the party name. Come on guys. It's winter. It's between Christmas and New Year's eve, and a very cozy location. It shouldn't be too hard to come up with a proper name based on these facts.

- Local hotels are not listed on any online booking systems. The only way to get a hotel room has been by phoning up all hotels. Hotels charged expensive list prices, with a pricing level that would be expected in New York City, but not in Gernsheim. Next time you could negotiate prices in beforehand, and setup an online-booking system, and send final lists to the hotels. This will make things much cheaper and more convenient for your visitors.

- The smoking tent has been a very good idea, but execution sadly has failed. A challenge here is that smokers want to socialize, so if you wanna go smoke and see people smoking in front of the hall door, you'll go there instead of upstairs (as you can not see if there is anyone upstairs in the tent). Either the tent upstairs has to be much better (and properly heated), or you need to move the tent to in front of the main door.

Again, thank you very much for this super nice party which I enjoyed a lot.

after sleeping for nearly 14 hours in the night after the party, i have to say: very nice party, and a super cuddly athmosphere -- that was super good for socializing. i felt a bit bad about the almost empty dancefloor, but [insert excuse here]. the music was real good though, and not even too loud.
most of the little shortcomings have been shouted during the party ("wenn ihr die scheinwerfer während der gfx compo ausschalten würdet, [...]") so there's not much to add from me. i liked that there was a quiet room that made it easy to sleep, but the fridge was so bright... a bit of cloth over the glass door would have been nice :D [/qq]

Thanks for a nice party! I was glad I made the trip and released a prod.

On the "could improve" side, I heard from another group that the version of their entry shown on the bigscreen also wasn't the most recent, which suggest some not-just-a-missclick cause. Unfamiliarity with Partymeister? Uploads copied from Partymeister to the compo PC much sooner than the "5 minutes before the compo" as promised by the compo team? Anyway, in light of the entire party it was a small thing.

FWIW, I second Scamp on the name thing.

The name is still "Under Construction", at least that is what all browser tabs were titled during the whole party ;)

Can´t complain about getting a rest - the nearby cafe offered nice and affordable rooms.

There were rumors about waking guests up for breakfast at 08:30 - not so nice ;)
Maybe we can make a secret list with prices, features and "bumsigkeitslevel".

jea, scamp is right even with the name too. We have to improve a lot, some thinks you don't get noticed ;) but we have to talk and think about. There will be a lot of work afterwards

The food: The one of you who ordered some food from the restaurant, Was there any Menu you missed? I think most of you like the "SchniPoSa".
I recognized only one Vegetarian Pizza is not enough.

Green, I am really glad you are open to considering a name change. As a Dutch person, I just have to feel sympathy for the usage of "Geusenwörter". But if there are realistic possibilities to improve the party's public perception and perhaps even the budget by sidetracking that habit for a moment, well, why not really ;)

it was a really nice and cosy party! not really ghetto, as the others mentioned - but the venue is really deluxe.

You can get the Ghetto out of the location, but you can't get the Ghetto out of the scener!
