NR4: How would you define sizecoded music? All executable music? All executable music below 4k? Below 1k?
"executable music" type, selectable together with the size types (similar to how "procedural graphics" works) :)
the compo type is usually "32k executable music" for this kind of prods
Are you sure it would be a good idea to invite thousands upon thousands of C64 tunes to be added?
some stats: 102632 prods
I mean, it's not like there weren't thousands upon thousands already :)
in any case, this sends the message "slop > creating music with coder methods" which I don't agree with.

But "executable music" isn't the same thing as "creating music with coder methods", not even close
well, you clearly haven't used 4klang before then :) no offense, great synth, but very much a coder method
anyways I'm not achieving anything here, I'll stop

IMHO sizecoded music should be here as well if even vibeslopping some audiovisual with klaudius & his robot friends can be added as scene achievement
if the sizecoded music is presented eg as musicdisk with menu and maybe gfx and such then yes. but without anything on screen: no. just like executable music. yes there is that logicoma tracked music entry in the db but one can't top that anyway ;) and it shows something.
because you brought it up: the added ai coding compo serves 2 purposes: 1: folks (will) add this stuff anyways no matter if you do not want it, me or random user 9. now that assembly has had such a compo it can't be helped. and 2: everyone who is too lazy to look into the nfo can see what it is before praising how well chosen the colors are. Which might bring other problems if released outside of a party. But that ai compo argument is not the best. Plus "within seconds" is a bit dramatic - it was a few days. please stick to the facts. And it is the users/sceners who decide if something like that is an achievement or not, not the pouet database nor the one of dz or any other site. but that's digressing.
