Any scene existing in Vietnam?
category: general [glöplog]
The guy has a point. Where IS the about page? ;) (same with Demozoo; both sites don't tell you a thing what they are even about).
Is it really necessary?
One may guess what is it all about by watching the prods and comments... Briefly - by spending some time here.
But it is my private opinion.

This site is a very busy looking niche subject thing and with its many boxes and icons and text and insider stuff rather irritating to a newcomer. If I'd be completely unaware of the scene, I wouldn't even know what or where to click and what to make of the abstract and strange looking results. It doesn't even give you any key word pointers, like even the word "demoscene", which really should be there, somewhere.
humm.... We start an interesting topic he, but because it is in Vietnam one, I stop continuing.
Just to say that all these "scene words" are in the world's famous online encyclopedia.
Well... may be true, it would be nice to have some clues here (a small "how-to") for the "strangers".
Not forgeting that if there is someone really interested - he would go further.

Hi! As Gargaj said earlier this year, I am one (I am the person he mentioned). Well... at least just a day ago. I never made any scene but syncing music stuffs up until this year.

Judging by the great report posted by Forcer, it seems that Vietnam would be a demoscene superpower in the next decade.
In my view (another way of saying `don't judge me`), I have never seen anyone younger than me doing scenes or having any idea of them at all. I know some in my school that knows about electronic music, but their definitions about genres and DAWs, etc. still seems to be poor.
I haven't talked anyone in primary school but I would ask my cousins about it. Maybe they'd give me some clues about improved education (I doubt any).
Hey potasmic, is there an email where one can get in touch with you? It's so nice to someone from this part of the world.... :)
@bitnaughty You can contact me @potasmic on Twitter. Pouët doesn't seem to have a system of private messaging, I think?
This thread is the best proof that there is no need for the about page ;D
Well there are items in the FAQ now, so..
There's only one thing I read in the FAQ: What the download link should be.
Other than that, I watched some demos to get what they are and what this is.
Took half a year lol.

It's taking 6 years (and counting) for some people.

Wow. That's a lot! I always assume demoscene as an underground thing... Not sure if it should be mainstream or be told to the mainstream?
We call that outreach. The mainstream isn't really listening :)
