Brilliant.
Brilliant.
I like that they have a smooth rotozoomer (crosszoomer even) with lego frames =)
Optimus, who says they're lego frames? At least they don't look like such.
the video is absolutely awesome but I have my doubts that these guys spent 1500h playing with "real" bricks :)
@raina: It slightly looks like this, not clear in the youtube video, I can see some faint line edges that tells me they might be lego pieces. But yes, maybe I am mistaken. Also, some of the 3d camera views of legos, someone could swear at first (like I assumed in the first watch) they are 3d rendered legos and not real stuff and not that much work has been done but I don't know.
There were some scenes with huge pixel videos. I don't think these would be lego too.. but others?
wow brilliant
yawn...
Optimus / raina: It's kind of like the Sony Bravia adverts... if it is real, then it's done with such clinical perfection that it looks surreal, to the point where you come away thinking "if this isn't done with CGI, then why the hell not?!"
either way => awesome.
either way => awesome.
That was farking amazing.
omfg! wow awesome !! :D fuckin' great experience :D

Wow, those ads are very cool :D
thx for the hint.
holly crap
isnt it a beautiful cognitive dissonance though?
half of the world is trying to convince you that what they're doing can be done with computers, but it's not (e.g. this video) and the other half is trying to convince you that what they're doing could be done live action but is in fact CGI (avatar)

1. 1500 hours lego.
2. ???
3. Profit!
2. ???
3. Profit!
i'd think that people spending such an amount of time on a video could at least try to add some original ideas and concepts... it's nice but.. well, as havoc says: yawn.
dyaaaamn.
Despite all the fashionable and boring "retro" thematics, I managed to enjoy it.
*bump* hopefully the lame copycat threads would be *bumped* out of sight.
thats exactly how we did the block part in frameranger. it sure was a lot of work!
what, you built it with legos?
"you blew my mind - now blow ME!"
anyone who has the tune/track already?
