okkie: ok- part of the mystery is revealed at least... the duiven guys sure didn't make this one, otherwise i would've known. what they made was the bert & ernie pindakaas mod, or so i assume at least.

it was a collection of 3 or 4 mods, of which 1 (pindakaa.mod) was clearly a lot funnier than the rest. the tune consisted of bert&ernie lyrics, backed up with some housey samples. it wasn't a mashup, or i missed something entirely ;) maybe i can still find the tune somewhere, will post here if i do :)

Everybody made Bert & Ernie themed mods back then. Mikmak made the best ones.

i really don't remember the name mikmak, but i'll take your word for it :)

mikmak is also the guy who made mikmod and later mikit, which was the only decent .it player on windows.

Mikmak was a scener and at one point even joined VoiD. I still have the VoiD dentro 'Red Period' which welcomed both Dynamix and Mikmak to the VoiD team. It also featured the awesome, hand pixeled Always Ultra logo and the Always Ultra commercial remixed by Mikmak.

Fuck, just wasted 2 minutes of my life listening to this supposedly "funny" mod that probably has no value to other than the composer and a select few dutch sceners....

But after the first 2 minutes, it starts to grow on you!
I suppose it's the effect that only funny mods will have on you.
