After strangling a Hutt, Leia knew she had to make haste for the exit on Jabba's Sail Barge in Return of the Jedi. Sculpted in her crowd-pleasing slave attire, this figure of Princess Leia Organa brings to life one of the most memorable costumes in sci-fi movie history. Requiring only minor assembly, this amazing 1:7 scale statue is prepainted and packaged in a nifty window box, and assembles in mere minutes after being opened! Snap an arm into place, push the feet in the base, and you've just had a hand in making the best Star Wars statues ever!

Nitro: I have one. Which is why I want that keyboard for my other computer. I still haven't found anything that compares to thinkpad keyboards, not even the DiNovo I used at the office (which is pricey!).

Alumuum: At least you can switch it off. Everyone with a Thinkpad does that anyway.

alumuum: I seriously can't remmeber the last time I needed to use the numpad on ANY computer. i have no idea why or how they got there but they really need to be gone from kbs already, imo :p

the direction/arrow keys are quite useful though...not the ones on the numpad...the other seperate ones

The thinkpad has weened me off the numpad but after working at the post office (to pay off my first computer when i was 16) i saw the numpad as the only part of the keyboard for EVER inputting numbers. Plus combined with ms calc it gives you a fast interface(if you worked for a year at the post office).

Doom, yeah i can switch off the touchpad, but it will still be there, looking at me, taking up half my desk.

Looking around the internets for ibm trackpoint keyboards i found some models i never came across before. Some things to think about they are.

Something that was not appararent on my picture there is that I sawed off the capslock key and exchanged the capslock and the ctrl keys.

Also. I do own a X-arcade however I wish I got a sanwa-made-with joystick instead. The x-arcade is somewhat imprecise, I find.

Currently a mixture between those 2 -- German layout, silver label, no LEDs, proper enter button, black detachable cord -- it's nice, fluffy and only 10 months younger than I am :)

Might be exchanged against this one tho, depending on the clickyness and the overall feeling.

keops:the arkanoid thing was more of a dial that would spin and not also do the up/down/left/right of a normal joystick, but the snk one would click 8 ways as you turned it and you could still move around. if that makes sense?

_-_-__ : i find the diagnoals a headache if i play it using a console/adaptor. It's been a long time since I used it with my pc not sure about the sanwa joystick, i'd rather not open my xarcade.

Commodore : that pic reminds me of the people that take people who take a photo of behind their monitors and use them as a desktop, camouflage style.

ok heres another one, ok so its not a keyboard.. but i remember my friend had one years ago, also handy for hypersports =)

and ofcourse the classic old faithful indestructable.

Strangely enough, the numeric keypad is really useful when you're working with numbers. ;) What's never useful though is multimedia buttons.
added on the 2007-05-26 01:54:55 by doomdoom doomdoom
If the numeric were placed in a 4*4 matrix (Hex obviously) they could be really useful.
I've never reflected over multimedia keys really. Right now I'm sitting in front of a Compaq "family friendly" keyboard or whatever you wanna call the shit. <Miniblog> Found it in the trash. I have to use it with this particular computer because it's my only USB keyboard and the PS/2 socket has come off from the motherboard. Shen I found it, it was really dirty, and had pink nylon fibres under the keys. I imagine it was owned by some old lady)</miniblog>
Anyway, it has the following extra buttons: Play, back/forward, stop, eject. Seven Compaq specific buttons, one help button, one button with a person on it (maybe an IM button), Vol+/-, mute, and suspend.
What I thought was that if I could make winamp react to the MM buttons when not focused, these buttons could actually be useful.
Right now they do nothing, except the eject button which starts a fresh copy of winamp.

old64scener: Is it possible that your joystick is set to 4-way mode? Apart from that, exchanging the joystick should not be too much of a hassle, you do not even need to solder.

@nitro2k01, there's the high probability of the keys working in XMPlay, if that's worth anything to you.

Btw, old64scener, this http://www.retroblast.com/reviews/joysticks/happrotary.html seems what you are looking for, but it won't work out of the box in your x-arcade.
