I had a similar problem for ages. The resets got more and more frequent, then I'd have trouble powering up, then it died completely.
It turned out it was my CPU causing the problems. However, I'd try and test this theory before spending good money on a new one.

yago speaks the truth - the quickest way to end this thread:
1. plug in another HDD of same size or bigger
2. copy your important documents and demo directory across
3. burn a CD of your documents as well and send it to your mums place (let's face it, it is backup time for all of us)
4. format your partition and reinstall the OS from scratch
5. reinstall only the programs you need (drivers, directx, and milkytracker should do)
6. beer and pouet
