I'm really surprised nobody is jumping on the occasion to remind others that fanta was created in nazi germany.

Oh dear... I remember back when I was young and kinda dumb, always whining about crappy prizes at demoparties:
"Ugh, this is garbage! Just some lame t-shirts and cheap energy drinks! At that another party gave out top GPUs!"

Looking back now, yeah... kinda cringey.
But, when you're a broke student, I guess that kind of salt is forgivable.

These days I really don’t care if they hand me a bottle of Fanta or a graphics card (which I don’t even need to make oldskool demos anyway).

also, i liked my fanta prizes. I had them sit on a shelf with my other trophies until one of them got structurally compromised and started leaking, somehow :D

mind you the prizes can be a lot worse... i once won minestrone soup and i don't even like minestrone soup!

Should I understand everyone's reasoning? Should I take offence to anything anyone posts on the internet? Of course not! But regarding the Fanta prize giving I do want to give my two cents. (or should I say, 1 euro! :D ) I clearly remember the moment we decided Fanta should be a compo prize. Organizing parties is a challenge, and when you're down to a few people it is even trickier. But we managed, Outline is still here, but I will not take any credit for that, my input and assistance is to little, it was all mostly Havoc. Anyway. Catering, We had plenty of Fanta left near the end of the party, and I suggested we hand them out as party prizes. So poop on Havoc as much as you want, but at least blame me for the "shitty cheap" Fanta prizes.

Getting a Fanta at Outline is, as far as I know, widely accepted by attendees, a celebration of common interests, respect and creativity. If one does not share that feeling I can only feel but regret that one cannot join in on this positive vibe.

he is even proud about giving Fanta as prizes at Outline
and even made some stupid jokes about that.
It's not just that stupid softdrinks as prizes,
but also canned food for the first place
in the Atari ST democompetition many years ago.
Now continue with your grown up attitudes, especially that el mal/Mali person.

Havoc: Let's lock this thread again and let's do what you want since you seem to have a very strong opinion about it (strong enough to repeatedly delete the prods I added without any kind of prior discussion, which is what I would have expected from one long time gloperator to another and by locking this thread in the first place)

People will just visit other websites such as Demozoo, Kestra or Atarilegend when they want to check full sets of CDs / compils / menus / cracktros from a specific group.

While I think it's pointless to have 20 versions of the same cracktro, I see compils and menus differently since they are numbered releases and it's usually only 2 or 3 similar intros, not the entire set.

Anyway, let's move on.

I still have these unopened bags of Haribo which came in this cardboard box which was given as a prize at tUM 2012. I suspect Haribo never decomposes but I wouldn't take the risk.
