Silkut: considering the noise on the picture of Titan, I'd say 'photon maps' instead of good ole gouraud shading.

p01: ah you're probably right, i searched references on my GL book but i didn't find anything so i considered that as gouraud shading + some filter. =)

that is high frequency noise, which screams "monte carlo raytracing". photon maps cause lowfreq noise ;)
