This year finally confirmed it: Evoke is my favourite demoparty. It was just a pure bliss!

The current scale of the party is just perfect: It's big and international, but still cozy and intimate. Also I love Köln. And the venue.

The PA lacked a bit of "oomph" and high end but once you got used to it it was fine. The PA outside was nice enough too!

Also, the toilets.. Now that it was mentioned. What the fuck? :D It was perfect. I mean, there always was someone there, but not enough to form a queue. It was clean and didn't even smell very bad. The paper got wet yeah but that wasn't a major issue. Even when I thought there would be a "rush hour" (like just after a compo) it was a non-issue to go to the toilet.

Anyhow, a big thank you to all the organizers and all the people I met (old friends and new ones)!

This was my 3rd Evoke and the best one yet! The organizers were always super friendly and took good care of us, the competitions were a joy to watch and listen to from start to finish and I've met so many cool people, old and new.

I had a nice chat with Blueberry and Punqtured about Clinkster, a VST I had not known before and that I am currently messing around with :D Observing Titan and how they finished off their megadrive demo was also very entertaining ;) I talked to way more people about stuff than I could mention here but I regret not having talked more to dfox, ne7 and hardy, for instance .. will do that at another party soon!

Btw. that belgian liquid waffle stuff Franky brought was just amazing!! I must admit I enjoyed it far too much by sunday morning but we've had so much fun watching SPEICHERGURKE etc. all night, seriously fun times!!

to all of you putting your name in the list to post-order shirts on evoke. we will not be reprinting shirts. the hassle it takes for us (collecting money, waiting for everyone to pay, printing shirts, ...) does not really seem to be worth it.

as the list was something like 10 people long, we apologize to you and promise to have more shirts next year.

Just let Topy print some bootleg shirts... ;)

I'd really like to have a chance to re-buy some of those older shirts aswell, as some of mine "originals" are already pretty much worn out.
It would be nice, if the orgas could "free" those logos/designs, so ppl can do there own reprints (or maybe use one of those online-printing-services to get some extra bucks for next evoke?).

The shirt from last year is probably the coolest party shirt I've ever seen. I could probably pony up for a second one.

My favourite still is the one with the two parked Munich subway cars ... for obvious reasons :D
