and yeah, i'm a girl, and no, I'm not super talented in anything that takes more than two days to learn because I'm lazy, but I still go there. and if i hadn't gotten a vip ticket as part of the awards team, i would gladly have paid my entrance fee.

about the topic of this thread - it's funny in a way, tbl has used this method of inspiration while creating demos several times now, and noone has complained until now. guess this time the source of inspriation was just known to more people.. and they're not the only ones. if you hang out with certain sceners for a while, see the movies they see, share their other hobbies, you'd be amazed.

Zest: I can understand that you can't see the difference between lan- & demoparties in this matter, since the difference will only be crystalclear when you're involved in the organising-teams of both. The difference is way too complex to discuss here, but it's just a matter of defference in costs you have to make, and the way money is coming back through sponsors and visitors.
To others: Regarding the "on-topic": I don't the point in that discussion. You can be pro or contra TBL, but that doesn't change a bit about their place in the BP07 compo. It's up to Ryg and his team to decide if they violated the rules, and if it is severe enough. Regardless of that, it still is a very nice production IMHO.
