But the scene is a lot younger than 59 (how many years the Hugos have been given out), so there's still time . . .
I admit, I adore many demos by many demogroups including Fairlight and ASD, and it would be nice to not be seeing the same names over and over every year . . . for them too. Not because they stop producing, but because of a flood of new contenders.

I(as person/demoscener) for one love the Scene-awards and I think it make the demoscene a bit bigger and better in every way. I totally respect and enjoy all the work that goes into it, and the show itself.
So be it that not all of the demosceners(and the hangarounds) like it. There is an option for you too. Just don't watch it. Don't pay attention. It's like that with all the stuff around in the real world also. There is a lot of thing I really don't care for. I just don't pay attention to it ...
... then again I am not the one to say in any way. I just do my thing in the scene in my own way and I rarely comment on such issues so this was probably a onetimer(and probably a mistake to do it on Pouet?) ... :)
