REVISION 2011
category: parties [glöplog]
tFt, Punqtured: We will have a deposit system for sure, but we most likely will have one without deposit token. so, as it has been at BP until 2008.
easy for everyone.
bstrr: rumours say "this week" :-)

Beer on Thursday sounds like a good idea.
Styx: sounds good.
FYI the "pricing machine" thing I meant would be something like this:
cheap, fast and easy way to mark all bottles as "Revision Beer" :)

Can't wait to meet the danes again :D
squeezing sceners' manboobs is not just a tradition between danes and norwegians!
Quote:
Suggestion: Put barcodes on the wristbands and make a small system to register amount of bottles for each purchase. Scan the barcode when scener returns bottles. Or at least some system less likely to degrade in quality with the amount of bottles needed to be returned ;-)
The Breakpoint's system was dead simple! You just needed to quantify everything in amount of crates, not individual bottles.
Who gives a shit about the bottles?!?! ...it's the freakin' stuff inside of the bottles which counts! Make some poor people earn some bottles :)
LOL! and by the way: nice underwear in the vid puryx! you triggered a purchase decision! where can I buy it for revision - and, if the trouser is still usable - for TRSAC :D
dirtie, the underpants where actually from Aldi, but bought during World Cup last summer, so the chance of finding some more, could be a problem.
I liked the system where you got the refund for a bottle when you returned it. No need to bring ink and paper into it, like they have done at breakpoint as well.
My two cents ...
The idea with the tokens is that people don't start stealing empty bottles from each other for getting free drinks. That is nasty.
So the idea works, I think it's up to the person itself who loses his bottle, but then again if you've lost your bottle and you can get another bottle with your ticket for a new bottle, then the system works.. right?

woah, all that discussion about returning bottles ;)
trust us, we know what token systems are good for and we know when they work and when they won't, it's not the first event we do ;)
we'll have a good solution for revision.
the reasons why beverage sales were outsourced during BP 2009 and 2010 were manifold and influence on the way it was handled was limited.
@D-Force: on demoparties I don't think it's considered nasty to "steal" bottles, while it surely wouldn't work on "normal" parties. some people care about the money for deposit, some don't. and those who don't help those who HAVE to care about the deposit. and those who collect the bottles help avoid crashed glass everywhere.
and now: KEEP UP SIGNNING UP FOR REVISION, or nobody will buy the bottles that have to be returned ;) (approaching: 400! \o/)

bottle stealing is never ok. however, if you're a bottle-collector - feel free to ask if you may take them. usually it's ok - but don't just assume!
Let's just stick to drinking the beer. I'm pretty sure the token system will be good enough for everybody.
At the Lowlands festival last year, 10 of the plastic festival cups would get you a drink coin, which could be substituted for money.
There were Polish people removed from the festival because they were only there to collect glasses for money.
Yeah.
I trust in Styx and his mad leet infodesk skills. Shit will be fine people.

collecting bottles is fine, but make sure you make enough room for my fist, because I'm going to ram it into your stoma.. no wait.
hey I heard that there will be male strippers for Revision?

there will be PANTS OFF at the very least!
PANTS OFF!
The beverage guys at BP 2009 were notorious for collecting empty bottles to pocket the deposit, no matter whether the bottle was totally abandoned or just temporaily unobserved.
CAUSE EVERYTIME WE TOUUUUUCH, I FEEL ECSTATIC!!!
kabuto, whoever let their unfinished beer out of sight is a fool
I think spexzter had a bit of unfinished beer at solskogen last year o_o
If your hands let go of an half full bottle of beer... well... let go of your hands.. they are completely useless :(
i'm afraid the token system will be the same as @ tum (coz that really, really sucked)
how about 1) deliver bottle back 2) receive currywurst ?
