which videos? why? when? did you bitchfight?

skreb, i'm referring to some atari videos that scene.org didn't want us to upload because they were too big, too insignificant, also worked on emulators, etc. one of the conclusions at that time is that it makes no sense to make videos of stuff that works flawlessly on a standard emulator setup. i'm wondering now whether that policy has changed, or if mr. gloom is just trying to get even for a latte machiato joke i made a couple of weeks ago in regards to his beloved iPhone... ;)

Havoc, I don't specifically recall the time were we would have said we couldn't host the videos of such demos. At least, there is no "general policy" regarding this inside the scene.org ftp staff that I know off.

It could however have been at a time where lack of funding let us be extremely careful with diskspace. Our answer now would likely be different. And it's true the priority will always be on less "available" platforms.

However yeah, Atari ST has very good emulators available (and is a standard demoscene platform) I'd be on the side of people who would say it's still worth watching a demo on an emulator rather than a video.

This is apparently a problem with VLC 0.9.6 something. Tried the new 0.9.8 and it works ok.
About QT: Got no idea why. I changed to a new Version of Avidemux (2.4.4) and mp4box (0.4.6) and changed some x264 enconding options to the conservative side and the new video works. Seems like QT is a bit bitchy about things...

NEW: Woorlic - Voidspace - Finally. I love this intro somehow, mostly because of the music.
