Not many Chinese/Japanese guys. But there are some talented NorthKorean sceners.

i doubt there will ever be many chinese sceners, cause chinese culture is all about money. For example, the chinese 'happy new year' greeting (seeing as its today ;) literally means 'congratulations, you're rich' (meaning something like 'i'm sure you'll get rich this year). And theres not a lot of money in demos ;)

Japan (and maybe korea and other places, not sure) has more sceners, but not many. But the interest is still there, and we might see a lot more of them one day. As it happens, i posted some stuff about demos on a japanese site a few days ago, it seems to have generated some interest :)

Also, you musn't forget the famous Japanese mag Windows 100% which features demos and softcore pictures on their cover CDs.

tmk/iNF is half norwegian and half from japan and currently lives in tokyo. however, he isn't that active as a scener anymore.

there was 2 japanese releases at the ASM'03 demo/introcompos i think

there are some good sceners in china but they don't like to put their products out; )

Got/Eldorado is one of the nicest guys I've met in the scene, and someone who really enjoyed discussing early scene history with me. You can find him commenting on stuff here occasionally. He also can tell you a lot about the current Japanese demoscene; or at least he did when we were talking ... oh crap 3 years ago... hmm time flies...

Wasn't there a Japanese guy at The Party 6? The organizers invited him to the stage, as the visitor from the furthest place.

lala: i live with one, plus i've spent time in hong kong + china. Of course i don't mean chinese are pure money grabbing greedy people (actually my first post did read a bit like that, so apologies if i offended anyone :/), but i think theres a lot more emphasis on money being important than other parts of the world i've visited.

altho i don't know whether they're sceners or just enthusiasts, i'd also like to remind you about negitoro and phz who are both great demofans and tend to review all the cool stuff after parties :)

I'd like to meet some Asian Sceners. I just remember that Japanese PD Game for Amiga (Gony Shoot) which was actually rather nice.

You may also have a look at Little Nero. He makes rather nice Chiptunes. (mp3,tho -_-; )
