I will most definitely try to participate.
This is cool. ASCII Art in your TVs around the world.. erm.. finland!
first finland, then rest of the world
Sounds interesting.
it's gonna be cool!
You can practice on this thing I made.
.. which seems to have developed some layout issues in the latest firefox :-/
btw, if p01 is reading and feels like fixing it, that would be great ;-)
Hah! Its fine in FF8 on XP, but not on Windows 7.
great initiative!
there used to be an image in the bbs :(
Teletext has some very specific restrictions on how colors and characters can be used, i.e. you need to insert blank characters that change the color and subcharset. The CebraText tool (for Windows) downloadable at http://lektrolab.beigerecords.com/ctinst.exe implements these correctly.
I want to give it a go. I participated in something similar a few years ago, on belgian TV.
i do not have a TV :O
*bump*
deadline is soon!

Site down?
it's back up, and they extended the deadline!
Well it seems the Cebra Teletext editor doesn't run on 64-bit systems, gotta try it on my netbook then.
The entries are now on-line (and on-air): http://www.yle.fi/tekstitv/html/P525_01.html
Woop, browsed through a bunch of the entries. Interesting.
Can these be downloaded as say an MPEG2TS stream? I suspect I'll have to deal with teletext at work in the future and it'd be nice to have these as samples :)
