VERY detailed and kinda cool in a retro way, but the technique is quite primitive compared to stuff we've been seeing on the scene for many years.

eboy has been producing artwork like this for ages.. and its fucking excellent! Its not just demosceners that make pixel graphics you know ;)

I don't think there's anything specifically demoscenish in isometric pixel graphics, but I like it.
The guy behind the visual style Habbo Hotel hasn't been a scener either (I think), but he has mentioned in multiple interviews that the style was inspired by the C-64.
