Once again, there will be another edition of Demozone organised during the Campzone party. The date for this year's event is 28-07-2006 till 31-07-2006. There will be the usual competitions and events, Havoc's birthday party, and just like last year we'll close the party with a great live performance.

Some people have noticed the fact that Demozone is part of Campzone, Europe's largest outdoor LAN event. A Campzone ticket at the door would normally set you back 75 euro. The Demozone orgos, however, have managed to make a deal with Campzone that will allow "known" demosceners access to the entire party for only 45 euro, a 40% discount...

How can you make use of this offer? Simple: contact the organisers asap, so we can reserve a ticket for you. We need to make sure that this discount won't be exploited by non-demosceners. Since we have a limited number of tickets available, we can't afford to have people on the discount list that don't show up. So we'll require you to keep us up to date about your plans for the weekend, up until the very last moment. Thanks for your understanding.

"DemoZone stands for 4 days long, open-air demoscene action. Plug in under the shining sun or sit inside our big, warm and covered "scener only" tent. Instead of most sceneparties, which are almost always indoors, you have much more freedom at DemoZone. Expect no uptight security, no 2-page list of rules to obey, but instead a huge, chillout computer fanatic atmosphere and every feature you might need. You can bring your own tent and strike down to camp.

DemoZone will take place on the premises of CampZone, in a big "scener only" tent, one of the largest computer events in the country. One of the things this means is some high-quality features for an open-air event, amongst others:

- High quality catering
- Good possibilities for making your own food
- A small on-site grocery store
- An exceptional computer fanatic atmosphere
- Clean showers
A large, warm and fluffy DemoZone party tent that hosts:
- A cinema-quality big screen and PA
- A cozy chillout area
- Plenty computer tables for all attendants
- Space to crash if you don't feel like bringing your own tent

shifter and okkie "help out"? I thought shifter will serve drinks to the lads and okkie will serve clues to the gents.

Speaking of "food" and "vegan".

5711 would love to hold a "barbeque competition" at demozone. We will bring a grill ("OPEN FIRE!(") and some
basic sauce for you to use, you can bring anything additional you want. Idea is that every participant will put his name on some piece of paper, which will be put into a bowl. Then we draw "opponents" whom you have to grill for. You opponent gives a rating of your grilled stuff and hands that to the "jury". He who ends with the most points, wins (something)!

There will be three categories, all of which should be participated in, points will be added up. You get different "opponents" in every round. Categories are:

Saussage (the good old Wurst)
Meat (a Steak or something...)
Non-Meat (Vegan, if you want, also Fruit and/or Vegetable)
