Recently the stupidity of some users have reached an all time high. Of course we can use the customöolobstormaziabletic 7004+ super or some CSS tricks to decrease the annoyance, but these methods are either not completetly efficient or too tricky to use.

Now, thanks to the FireFox extension called GreaseMonkey, it's possible to make a site specific user script. So here comes Pouet 'attention whores' toggle. All you have to do is to open that script in FireFox, go to Tools > Install User Script, reload Pouet and enjoy. A little trumpet should appear in the top left corner. The usage of the script is straight forward. And the infos are maintained in a cookie.

I herebye want to say goodbye to the "attention whores" polluting Pouet.

i've decided to kill the inbuilt ignore function from pouet code to save diskspace. i advice everyone to use p01's greasemonkey script. it works like a charm.

So now we can filter out user's posts?

Nope, you just have to install GreaseMonkey and the Pouet 'attention whores' toggle user script, and voilà.

There's nothing to edit or hand code anymore.

When you'll have the trumpet in the corner, you'll see it's straight forward to use.

All the new icons have an explanative tooltip. In doubt, leave the mouse few seconds on them to read their tooltip. A click on the trumpet in the corner toggles the display of the "attention whores". When they are visible a small trumpet appears on the left of each avatar to mark/unmark the corresponding user as an "attention whore". Dead simple.

I only see one new icon: The trumpet. Nothing else.

Wow, pretty amazing. Now I can have a usable pouet and a "I need it for fun/fixing purposes" pouet.

nothing happens when you move your mouse on it or click on it ?

The text changes from hidden to visible. That's it.

I'll try restarting Windows. Perhaps that'll help.

you must CLICK on it, to make appear the smaller trumpets next to the avatars. And that's by clicking on these smaller trumpets that you mark a user as "attention whore" or not. Then click again on the big trumpet in the corner, and voilà.

When the "attention whores" are visibles, their messages have a dark grey background.

When the "attention whores" are hidden, their messages are completely hidden.

Woohoo! Restart fixed the issue. (Windows problem, or Firefox problem, or thom problem?)

i think you just forgot to restart your browser after installing the script :)
