DEMO - A double-sided double-density movie by Alex Pilot

category: general [glöplog]

The pitch

“This film, designed for the big screen, is conceived as a captivating plunge into the world of amateur coders in 1990, at the height of the ST/Amiga rivalry.”

The crowd-funding campaign

Because the movie will be in French (with English subtitles planned), the team decided not to promote the campaign outside France. Still, I believe it deserves this (late) announcement on Pouët.

The project is led by Alex Pilot, who is —among other things — the co-founder of the former TV channel Nolife.

Although the campaign officially ended yesterday, it is currently in its extension period (but I don't know for how long).

Formidable, I've always been waiting for a fictitious movie about this, and it looks like there is a good chance it's going to be good. I'll watch it!

it's seemingly not quite as cringe as that australian junk garg dug up some years ago but fiction movie about the scene still sounds like a horrible idea

as long as George Clooney plays me, I have no problems with it
clooney doesn't have what it takes to play prepubescent teens i guess
