New 1541 emulator based on a raspberry pi 3b. Looks really promising and pretty cheap to build.

Demo videos of it in operation show it running edge of disgrace show I suspect most demos are gonna be fine with it.

Oh totally, but it's super new so hasn't had time for a profiteering entrepreneur to hike out pre-made kits.

Having to use a seperate hdmi screen for navigating the software is kind of a bummer, tho.

you can always use the clip-on lcd for the Pi :)
edge of disgrace (and most demos really) are not a good test btw... those use irq loaders that are fully async/handshaked and are pretty hard to break (they are designed not to break when timing changes).

Interesting! Having to use a separate whole C64 and 1541 Ultimate-II and monitor to serve as a disk drive for watching Plus/4 stuff is kind of a bummer.
