Crash Boom Bang by Spetsnaz

Crash Boom Bang by Spetsnaz
---------------------------
(Final version)

A demo released at The Gathering 1999.
Placed 9th.

Credits
-------
Code: neon
Graphics: starfish/nocturnal, flash gordon, neon
Music: xerxes/night55

The demo is using OpenPTC by Gaffer (http://www.gaffer.org/ptc) and
the FMOD soundsystem by Brett Paterson. (http://www.zip.com.au/~fl).
Thanks to the aussies for great libs :)

Changes in the final version
----------------------------
- Uses OpenPTC/Win32 1.0.12
- Uses FMOD 2.18
- Uses zLib instead of my own LZW implementation, which reduced the size with 1MB.
- Does not use UPX for packing the executable and the DLL's, because a lot of
  anti-virus programs complained about this.
- Clears the top and bottom of the screen in fullscreen mode to avoid trashing
  while ALT-TAB'ing.

How to use
----------
Start the demo by double-clicking (or single click if you have turned on the stupid
single click internet explorer interface shit :) on the "Crash Boom Bang.exe"-file.
Normally, you should just press "Run" in the dialog, but if you want
to change the options feel free to do so.

Video options:
"Fullscreen" - Enables fullscreen mode when checked, window mode when unchecked.
"Double pixels" - Doubles the window size, useful for window mode.
"Debug" - Enables debug output on your monochrome monitor.
"Loop demo" - Loops the demo. Warning! Leaks about 1,5 MB of RAM for each loop.
"Widescreen monitor" - Check this if you got an 16:10 widescreen monitor (like the Sony 24")

Sound options:
"Output driver" - Selects the output driver. Choose between Direct Sound, Waveout
                  or Nosound.
"Sound device" - Selects the sound device to use. Nice for people with more than
                  one sound card.
"Mixing driver" - Selects the mixing driver. Normally you shouldn't need to change this.
"Frequency" - Selects the mixing frequency. Lower frequency means lower sound quality
and higher speed. You don't have to change this unless your machine
                  really sucks.

Requirements
------------
- Windows 95/98/NT/2000 and DirectX.
- 486 or better
- 32 MB ram
- Video card with 15 bit or more bitdepth.

- If you want to run this demo in a window, set your desktop bitdepth to
  15 bits or more.
- This demo likes 32 bit videomodes.
- This demo multitasks. I've run 6 versions at the same time on my Pentium 233MMX.
