making this took a nice amount of my time, but in my opinion, that
time wasn't wasted. I would rank this as one of my best compositions...
at least, at the moment.
stay here in paradise (wherever you are) neptune 4:26 rock
i made this in one day, spending no more than 5 hours. it was quite
a fast process, since i hadn't made a tune for a long time. the tune
(i know) is far too long and boring, but i can't help it.
scales of phages dawn 1:57 scene
can a tune get more unoriginal than this? ;)
it repeats itself, yeah, but was technically (joo, joo) quite
hard to create, at least for me :). oh, and it ends up short too.
remembrance neptune 2:29 instrumental
this was a tough one, since i couldn't manage to find the right sounds
first, but eventually the tune sounds as i meant it to. big thanks goes
to bip/we, for giving me great samples and inspiration i got while
listening his tunes. i hope this doesn't repeat itself too much, but on
the other hand, it's no more than two and a half minutes long.
the land of promises dawn 5:00 scene
tends to be a bit boring, but has a couple of nice things too.
i personally consider the ending as the best part.
clockwork life neptune 2:52 soft rock/jazz
i had fun (for a very long time) composing this one. it was refreshing
to try out something new and different apart from those same-old riffs.
now - as i realize i spent a few useless months composing trance and goa
trying to fit in some melodies only ending up with terrible results -
i feel i've really made something new (at least different from techno,
eh?). the tune has - say what you will - it's own great atmosphere, and
that's why i wanted it in this musicdisk. it has that element, that
something what is in every jazzy piece, which can not be described or said
in words. a word of warning, though: even i had to listen this one a
few times before i got into this tune.
hold on another day dawn 3:43 pillupop
i just had to do this tasteless pillupopthing...
please ask why, it's a good question ;)
nothing remains neptune 3:21 pop
it's not really a pop tune, but what is it?. tutankhamun said that
this one sounds like something he had heard before (possibly leevi and
the leavings: jos itken illalla). i agree. i have too, but i can't
remember where or when. the melody itself is a really simple one, but i
deny i made it consciously sound like those many tunes alike. it must
have been some sub-consciousness thinking, or too much alcohol :)
fleam dawn 2:29 melodic
all credits for this tune belongs to the great samples by jogeir
liljedahl. despite that, i enjoy this one.
floodland neptune 2:24 progressive synth/instrumental
it doesn't belong to any category i know, but so what. this is probably
my lousiest tune in this music disk (and the other four aren't good,
ú either), but i wanted this in since it's quite weird and it has something ú
ù different from tunes i have made before. it can take a while to get into ù
