ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ
Craw productions is a Canadian software duo from Ottawa, composed of
LakEEE and PsychoMan. We are big fans and supporters of computer graphical
and tracked musical demonstrations all over the world, and have made a few
ourselves. In essence, one can call us a demo group, although we do dabble
in game and utility coding.
Both LakEEE and PsychoMan were part of the demo group called
"Axidental" back in 1994, but that is no more. The other members of the old
group have gone separate ways, whether on or off the demo scene, and these
people are: Cyclone, Biocide, Mental Floss and Dark Spy. Our only production
with these four was "The Accident", which competed at ASM '94.

ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ
This is our second information file and we are proud to release it
with "Vortex", a double file Musicdisk. All of the songs in both disks are
by LakEEE, and there are sixteen tracks in total. These range from simple
rock and dance-like pieces to breakbeat, new age and jazz, composed and
worked on in between the summer of 1994 to the summer of 1995. I (Kenji, or
LakEEE if you must) never considered myself a music writer of any sort, but
after getting some praise for my job on the background song to Opticron, I
became very much interested into releasing a musicdisk. So, with some small
touches here and there, I collected all my pieces I had composed for fun and
made a small player program that also contained a multi layered tunnel effect
that had never been used in our demos... hence the name "Vortex".

I'm going to interrupt this regularly scheduled information file to
say a few words about this release. On July 12, LakEEE left for Japan for
two months, which is one of the main reasons why we are not entering ASM'95
this year. Before he left, he gave me the Vortex musicdisks and told me to
release them. Before releasing them, I decided to add a help screen (F1)
and to try to add SB support. I got the help screen done, but the SB support
has run into a few problems. I figure it'll take me about a week to fix it
up, but since I wanted to release this before ASM'95, I decided just to
release it GUS only. You SB types will have to wait a few days until I
release the SB patch. While you wait, you can listen to the music in your
favourite S3M players. Well, I guess that's all I have to say. Back to our
regularly scheduled information file...

ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ
Our group is made up of only two people, and it will probably stay
that way for a while. Both are from Canada, their native country, although
we do have family ties elsewhere...

-Kenji Toyooka, "LakEEE" - AGE 19 (Born in 1976)
is one of the main coders of Craw, as well as its only
              musician and graphics artist.

-Michael Anttila, "PsychoMan" - AGE 19 (Born in 1976)
is the other coder and handles most of the very low
level assembly code and sound playing routines.

º CRAW WORLDS! º
ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ
We were hoping to release a second Craw demo by the end of the spring
of 1995, but, with the last few months of high school and no time to work,
we didn't have much success. *However*, we have decided to take on another
major project called "Craw Worlds", a specialized 3D system specifically for
cinematic presentations or computer movies. This has been taking up most of
our time right now, and while it is still about 30% finished as I type this,
the results will be hopefully quite grand. No doubt all of our productions
in the future will use this system in some way, including...

                         " R E L E A S E M E "
                 -= A PC feature movie presentation =-
                           By Craw Productions

Our latest demo yet, with heavy emphasis on storyline
and plot rather than isolated effects and themes. It will use
our newest "Craw Worlds" system as a base, with standard MCGA
320x200x256, and will probably be over 10 minutes long. It is
the story of a robot, a simple worker in a world with millions
of industrial factories and extensive robotic integration, who
experiences a human emotion alien to its lifelong programming.

This is our first advertisement for our upcoming demo, and most
certainly not our last. It's still not known if we'll compete in any compo
with this, but in any case, we hope it'll cause a "nice stir"... :)

º Our productions º
ÈÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍͼ
So far we have released only three productions, but indeed we are
planning a lot more. The list includes demos, intros, utilities and games,
either freeware or shareware.

Mar 1995 "Optica" - Advertisement for Opticron
Apr 1995 "Opticron" - Our first demo (6.5 minutes)
Jul 1995 "Vortex" - A music disk by LakEEE (16 songs)

Upcoming "CrawDraw" - An MCGA motivated graphics drawing program
with many practical, efficient options and an
extensive "shape grabbing" interface with special
              effects.

"CrawDir" - A fast and useful directory program that
has sorting, searching and viewing options.

"Dreaming" - A shareware game; a horizontal shoot 'em
up with a unique weapons system and fantastic enemies
accompanied by 8 channel music and 4 channel sound
              effects. Seven levels in total.

"PsychoPlayer" - Our S3M / MOD music file player with
file menu options and a playlist ability.

"Release Me" - A new demo which bases itself around a
robot and its existence. Lots of plot and storyline
              involved.

"CrawWorlds" - New 3D system that will feature many effects
ideal for movies and presentations, this nice utility
              may become shareware...

Untitled - Not yet named, but this small intro will be
              geared towards promoting Craw Worlds.
