                            ···--=INFO=--···

Birth was shown at Euskal Party 4 in Donostia. It was presented in
ninth position. Incredibly it reached the 3th place in the Euskal Megademo
contest. The objetives of *INCOGNITA* were to take a 'not bad' position.
In the VideoWall all the effects and the sounds look great, and all the things
turn up wonderful.
Main coder of Birth is εnt, all the code come from him. Lyctor couldn't
finish is 3d fast routines at deadline. 14 days before the party εnt has 6
effects coded in real mode, there were no music, no ideas... In 5 days all the
code was translate into Protected Mode and Watcom C/C++. Player routines begin
to be coded, but Party arrived soon and there were no demo. :-\ After 60 hours
of Party Intense Coding, Birth becomes in something acceptable. Lyctor couldn't
finish the 3d routines, and his Mandelbruto (;-DDDD) Darkberry improvise two
XM modules for the demo and all the demo was synchronize by εnt and DarkBerry
(really a nightmare!!)
At deadline the demo was finished but not recompiled without debugging
and optimized to Pentium. Luckly, deadline was delayed 1:30 :-))) There were
some bugs, but Birth could be presented on the VideoWall. We could hear the
people clapping our demo.
Coding at Euskal Party is a great sensation u never must lose. All the
effects were improved at 25%. Party Coding -Really- Rulezzzzzzzz

                        ···--=REQUIREMENTS=--···

The demo shown at Euskal Party was optimized for Pentium. Final version
of Birth is optimized for both 486 and Pentium. 486 is still alive!!!!

U can run the demo under all memory managers, but a clean boot is reco-
mended to get CPL0. Sound enviroment variables must be set up correctly ( GUS
or ..... BLASTER, I had forgot his name }:-))

       * Minimum:    486 DX2      4Mb de RAM  VGA VLB    GUS 512kb
Pentium 60 4Mb de RAM VGA PCI SoundPlaster

       * Recommended:Pentium 100  4Mb de RAM  VGA PCI    GUS 512kb

Birth needs exactly 3.5 Mb or memory. It could be a lot less, but
I thin everybody have 4 Mb.
You need Vesa 2.00 to run the demo, Demon GFX and Voxel make use of
SVGA modes (Lineal Frame buffer rulezzzzz). We made use of UNIVBE51.EXE which
can be found in a lot of BBS.
Birth have been tested in a lot of computers, but may be some bugs
(Murphy laws). Please, report us all the bugs u find. See ICG.NFO for addresses.

                           ···--=NOTES=--···

        - Birth is the first Megademo of *INCOGNITA*
        - 60% of Birth was made at Euskal Party IV
        - All the demo is real time. NO PRECALCULATED PART AT ALL
        - Demo was coded in ASM and Watcom. 90% is ASM in protected mode.
(Pmode/w) The Rest is coded in C.
        - εnt couldn't finish sound system. So MiKmod was taken. (good program,
nice coders, vtimer.c is a little buggy!)
        - Voxel part is 640x350 HIcolor!!!
        - Julia is absolutely REAL TIME!
        - Ramma part is 320x400 Xmode
        - Transition from Ramma to credits is really ugly. :-\\\
