GET INSPIRED - A SHORT FILM FOR ASSEMBLY'05

"Get Inspired" is the first short film I've ever made.
It was a huge step between illustration and animation
for me. Even though the whole film is almost full of
still images, I managed to get some life into it via
3D-animation and a couple of frame-by-frame animations
made in Photoshop and sequenced in After Effects.
(which was a hell lot of work, lemme tell you that :P
The rest of the film relies on simply twisting,
rotating and scaling of still images.
For me, the main objective of this film was the fact
that I made it entirely without anybody's help, all
on my own. That way I learned so much about modeling,
animation, composition, storyboarding, making and
timing of audio and much much more.
The title "Get Inspired" has actually nothing to do
with the film itself. I just want to encourage the
audience of the Assembly festival to make something
they've never made before.
The next film I'll make, would be based on 3D
character animation I think. But we'll see.
Some of the sounds of this film I just recorded with
my microphone. The rest of the sound effects and some
music samples were taken from the following sound
effect collections and free Internet databases:

The Freesoundproject-site states that you should

in \Get_Inspired_Xtra\Get_Inspired_FreeSoundProject

The fonts seen in the film were from:
- Phillip G. Andrade: "Alien Marksman"
- Tom Murphy 7: "Tom's Handwriting", "Tom's New Roman"
I hope you enjoyed the film. I have HDTV1080p-version
(1920x1080 pixels, every frame as a lossless PNG) of
this film available, so I think I'll release at least
960x540 version of this film someday. Gotta find a
good host first.
