Kaktoos by Five Musicians [web]
*** IMPORTANT *** Kaktoos will just sit there if you do not have a VESA driver loaded. If you don't have a vesa driver, you can get one from for example ftp://oak.oakland.edu/SimTel/msdos/graphics/univbe52.zip We're very sorry for this last-minute bug. *************EOI* Thank you very very much for downloading my first child. She is a big one, weighing over 3 meg with clothes on! Her main creation place was Phoenix, Arizona (hence the name). This is my 19th birthday, this is my first musicdisk, this is probably the best day of my life (lots of fun things happened :)) Thanks to Big Jim, Ms. Saigon, Blackwolf, GD, Sirrus, and NeXuS for those lovely birthday-S3M/MODs! :) This is a collection of some unreleased modules I've made in random times throughout my tracking career, ranging from around 1991 to 1994 ('career' since 1988 :)). I sincerely hope you like them, and do keep in mind that they are ALL 4-channel, ProTracker modules! So they do not stand up to 1995 XM standards :) Here's a little help for using the simple interface - <- Goes back to the previous screen of text, or switches to text-display mode from the loader screen -> Goes to the next screen of text, or switches to text-display ESC In the text screens, this goes back to the loader screen In the loader screen, this stops playing and shows a thank-you text screen, after which ESC exits Kaktoos. ENTER Plays currently selected module We hope that'll get you by. If not, the mod files are included as separate files. Some words about the music: They're all old, but I think they are my best tunes. Which is why I really wanted to release them in one pack :). I've made most of them in Phoenix, Arizona, like I said, and was massively inspired by the people, scenery and geography of the area. It was an un- believable time I had there!! Well, thanks again. Here's my contacting info, in case you like or in case you dont. :) Telephone: +358-40-545-9486 Email: jak@hole.fi WWW: http://www.partek.fi/~jam The coding was done by Zab / Kosmic / HaRDCoDE / DA (zab@teleport.com) The graphics were done by Pixel / FC (pixel@unix.mpoli.fi) (beginning graphics picture was missing at deadline, sorry!) I want to thank both of you guys for helping me out in such a hurry, you've been great :) Extraspecial thanks to Maikki. You're unbelievably fun to be with :) And thanks to YOU again, for reading this and listening to Kaktoos.
