Technical details. The charset is a copy of the ROM charset, except for the 128+ chars, which is doubled height letters in uppercase. This was turned into a little piece of code(132 bytes), and stored at the BAM data, track 18,sector 0; offset 4 (140 bytes free here). Why? Because i already got a track/sector reader and spend the few bytes getting these data. Still got 88 bytes to waste there. Now wasted with a little intro. The SIDs are sorted by track/sector location. Had a stack problem, which was solved due to the excellent compressor; Exomizer! Did that extra TXS, due to leaving a subroutine early, rock solid now. Back end program used; Delphi. Can create any kind of disk with whatever SIDs. You might wonder why you cannot select a song during playback? This is because some songs require more than 1 call per frame, so udating the screen while playing will mess the sound up. Working on that. Also Sids are allowed to unpack anywhere in memory, except $c000-c800, and $e000-ffff, ohh and the charset at $3800. Stats for SIDs: Total size of all SIDS in raw format (without the 126 byte sid header): 279.470 bytes. Total size of packed sids: 172.032 bytes. Thats a sweet save of 107.438 bytes :D And there are more data to save... Just need more SIDs! And thats the reason this is Vol 00 :)
