about the demo.
This demo was made in about 5 days when we surprisingly decided to make
a demo.
(at least surprisingly to me since most of the others stayed mysterious
in that matter)
And so we all packed our stuff and moved ourselves to kibutz eilon, the
home of the group, set up our room full of equipment (which we later
brought to the party leaving behind mostly the walls) and started to
work.
We had a pretty good though terribly slow engine which, during those
five days, our coders systematicly accelerated while adding more and
more bugs: a thing which made our 3d artists make every scene at least
3-4 times so it will run on the engine without making all kinds of
colorful pixel appear at random. This of course made the graphicians
a bit annoyed and so very unwiling to spend time on synchronizing the
demo to the music.
This task is more difficault than it seems since there was no music
at the time..
The reason for that is because i had the perfect combination of
no inspiration and general lazyness and so I kept dragging the work
on and on until 5am in the morning of the demo deadline, about an
hour left to finish, after two nights with no sleep.
My mind was so messed up until not only i kept writing wrong notes,
i didn't even notice they were wrong.
Hopefully i managed to fix some of them in the final version.
We end up 2nd and got a display card and a "mov97 organizer" shirt.
It was cool.
