Hardcore by Mind Design
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "HARDCORE" [I Wish I Was Dead] A LUNATIC ASYLUM release in 2000 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This demo should run on any Atari Falcon 030, VGA, FPU. If it does'nt run on your machine, drop us a mail describing your configuration. Credits --------------------------------------- Main Code..........................Deez Additional Coding............The Viking Music........................The Viking Replay Routs (mp2)...............Nocrew Graphics............The Viking, various --------------------------------------- Why This Late? And Still It looks Like Before? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lack of time and interest mainly. Viking is somewhat abscenct from the atariscene and I am in the middle of a big move. I wanted to finish i up before any release but as always time slips away and I have other things I have to take care of. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does This Mean Mind-design Is dead? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not really, I dont know about Viking, when I am writing this I havent spoken to him for quite a while and I havene managed to get hold of him either. I am taking a break for a while now, for atleast a month, maybe longer. This to get settled and to get into my new job and so. But dont worry, I will be programming atari for long. I am moving to UK within a few days to work as a games programmer, this will probably take most of my time, atleast in the beginning but I have the intention to continue to support atari. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- This demo has got some more or less weird bugs attached to it. The version showed at sv2k exited quite ok, though it seems the falcon wasnt very stable afterwards. This version doesnt exit 100%, the videomode/videaddress doesnt restore, I have no idea why and I have no time trying to fix it either, you will have live with it. A tip, after the demo is finished, in TOS you can press the key for the VIDEO-MODE and then <return>, hopefully the falcon will set a proper videomode. Sorry about this. The is sligthly modified version from the one showed at sv2k, I removed the warningsign I had included. Grey told me to include one if we wanted to enter the competition. When I asked why they didnt run all demos on ct2 I got an answer the sounded like "polish demos dont run on ct2", ok.. fair enough. Since this is a partyversion I didnt include support for RGB or a "low resolution" mode, all this due to lack of time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- You need: - FPU. - 14 MB free RAM, where (approx) 3.5 MB must be ST-RAM the rest can be TT-RAM. - VGA (100/60Hz) monitor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings To All Who's Trying To Keep The Scene Alive.
