About
-----
"Back to the Pixelated World" is our 4th Amiga 64kb intro. Its a sort of sequel to "Pixelated World" (2022) in that it follows the same basic structure in its staging.
But probably a bit more polished :-)
Its been a pleasure working with Alex on this project.
And two so great musics in less than 40kb, it's a performance. Thanks, mate!
Some words about the rotating A
Usual Agima rotating logo that we can see in all our prods. The little originality here, compared to previous ones, is a distorted reflection when a branch of the "A" touches the surface.
Its a usual trick with the copper, but fun to code. And it's so Amiga...
Some words about the vector part
Some classical objects here, simple but computed and displayed in real time. We pay attention to the transition and make some effort to synch the music with the image.
The scene where the screen is divided in two parts is a little modest tribute to Nexus 7 / Andromeda 1994.
The "wire" landscape is built in memory while the flat brown tetraedron is rotating (it's why this part is a bit too long for me ;-)).
Some words about the scrolling part
Its obviously a tribute to all the Wonder Boy-style games. Inifinite scroll in two direction in 50fps (double cloned screens algo here), that is so easy for our magical computer.
Specialists recognised the graphics style, and the more discerning among you will spot the direct inspiration from the game Aggelios ((c) LookAtMyGame / PQube)
It should be noted that the graphics are not taken directly from the game (of course), but were heavily influenced by it when created from scratch using Deluxe Paint 4. I am not a graphist. I need inspiration :-)
We would have liked to add a lot more but fitting the current content into 64 KB wasn't easy. And so here is our back to the pixelated world.
See you soon
