Mark Ferrari Slideshow
############################## # MARK FERRARI SLIDESHOW # ############################## For the first time ever on Amiga you can experience these magical VGA color cycling images of Mark Ferrari, who is otherwise known for his original artwork for Monkey Island and Loom backgrounds. System Requirements: FastRAM, AGA, 020 (Will run without fastmem but not full speed) This slideshow is based on the HTML5 Canvas Cycle demo by Joseph Huckaby, [http://www.effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/] which was published in 2010. In addition to the 35 images featured in that demo, this slideshow includes eight images (of which one features color cycling) from the 1997 PC game "Magic the Gathering - Battlemage". You can read more about the images in this interview with Mark Ferrari himself which is currently available online but also included in this release as `interview.md`. [http://www.effectgames.com/effect/article-Q_A_with_Mark_J_Ferrari.html] The "Blend" mode which is enabled by default allows smooth cycling of the colors by adding extra animation steps using interpolation. This greatly enhances slowly moving cycles, but it also makes the effect more subtle and even difficult to percieve in some scenes. Blend can be toggled via command line and/or keyboard shortcut (B). Made by Dalton/Tulou C2P by Kalms PS. They images are encoded as PBM (Deluxe Paint for DOS) because it supports up to 16 color ranges in an image. Amiga DPaint supports only 8. Command line options ==================== ALLOWINTERLACE Allow interlaced screen mode if it's found to be the most suitable. Recommended if you have a flicker fixer. If this flag is *not* specified, the program will avoid interlace and instead display the images in super hires mode, interleaving the pixels of two rows into one. This works surprisingly well. SHUFFLE Start with shuffle enabled HOLDTIME Set how long each image is displayed (default 60s) MUTE Play without sound Icon Tool Types =============== ALLOWINTERLACE=0 (or 1) SHUFFLE=0 (or 1) HOLDTIME=60 (seconds) MUTE=0 (or 1) BLEND=1 (or 0) Keyboard shortcuts ================== [Esc] .........
