This packer is public domain, so you may do with it as you please,
but I do have one request: Please, don't fuck it up !!!
Introduction:
-------------
This powerful packer is especially designed to pack Delta Music modules,
but this packer is weird compared to a normal packer, because after you
have saved the packed module, you'll never have to unpack it again. How
can that be ??? You see, after you have packed the module, you just use
the new replay-routine which is on this disk. There are two special
things about this replay-routine:
1. It can play the module as a packed file. It will translate the
packed data while playing them, so the module will always remain the
packed size.
2. Now you might think that the translation takes an awful lot of raster
time, but you are terrible wrong!!! This replayer is even faster
than the original replayer used in the unpacked module !!!! Test it
for yourself, and be amazed !!!!
Instruction:
------------
This packer is very easy to use, so it shouldn't be any problem for
you to use it, even though you might not be a programmer. Anyway, here
goes:
The song-modules you wish to pack, has to be saved as a FINAL-SONG,
otherwise this packer cannot pack them. So if you haven't done that,
please do it now.
I assume that you have saved a FINAL-SONG module on the Delta Music
disk. Let us say that the songname is "FIDO 2". To pack "FIDO 2", you
need to do the following steps:
1. Startup the Delta Packer. (from CLI)
2. As soon as the packer-menu appears, choose "L" and press RETURN.
3. Now you'll be presented with this message "Load module : ".
Just type the name of the file you wish to pack, but don't forget
to add the directory in which the module are placed. In our case
we type "DELTA MUSIC:FINAL/FIDO 2", and press RETURN.
4. When the file has been loaded, you only need to save it again. This
you do by choosing "S", and press RETURN.
5. Now you'll be presented with yet another message "Save module : ".
Just type the name you wish to give to the file. In our case we
type "DELTA MUSIC:FINAL/FIDO 2". (Note: you can use any name you
like!!!).
6. The file will now be saved and packed at the same time. After
it's finished, you will be informed about the new size of your
module.
By the way, if you wanna hear the tune, just choose "P" for play module.

This packer is dedicated to all those who have given me all their great
ideas for the new Delta Music V3. I can promise you that I will use as
many of YOUR ideas as possible, so that the new Delta Music will be more
powerful than ever. Thus, a more friendly design which makes the editor
a whole lot easier to use.
It's hard to say when the new Delta Music will be finished, but it will
probably take about 6 month or so. The reason why it will take me that
long, is because I have to rewrite the whole editor to comply with all
YOUR wishes and ideas ......

I have a special message to Mr. Spiv of Cave, who had a very hard time
optimizing the Delta replayer, but without luck. (Mr. Spiv, I really
think this is the tool you are looking for, am I right? HA HA. By the
way, thanks a lot for helping me with the filled-vector).
