ABOUT ∙THE FiRST FiVE∙
The first five is freeware. It can be freely distributed as long as it
is not modified in any way. No money can be charged for it. (Please
distribute it to every computer-user you know.) However we can not be
held liable for any kind of trouble or damage caused by executing or
messing around with this piece of software.
ABOUT THE iNTEGRiTY OF TFF.EXE
If you are not sure about the integrity of tff.exe then enter
"tff -integrity" to check it. If it is not ok, try to get a valid file
and delete this package.
HARDWARE REQUiREMENTS
The first five requires an 80286 or later processor and a standard
VGA card to run. It also requires 448k of free memory and a Gravis
Ultrasound sound card (with 512k dram). You may think we are so lame
because we release a musicdisk with only gus support. (We didn't
include support for SoundBlaster and compatibles because everybody
hasn't got a gus yet.) We declare now that we will not support the
SoundBlaster cards. (We are very sorry if you are an unfortunate owner
of an sb card.)
Note: running ultrinit.exe before tff.exe is always welcomed but not
necessary. This operation will minimize the number of init clicks; our
init routine is not fine, but works.
COMMAND LiNE AND KEY SUMMARY
You can get detailed information on command line options by typing
"tff -help". I think it doesn't require more explanation.
The control of the interface is quite evident. Two things: (1) you may
control the global volume with + - keys and (2) you may press the s key
to display the sound settings at any time.

++ APOLOGY ++
If you own a gus you have probably noticed those playing errors in the
interface. (eg the volume of the chords are slided down etc.) The cause
is that I erased the part in the source accidentally, which disabled all
the running effect when it is necessary. Finally it is fixed. (It took
us two weeks to notice this unpleasant bug - and about two minutes to
correct.) We are really sorry for this ugly bug. Otherwise you may
freely distribute this bugfixed version as well.
