SIXTH BIRTHDAY!!
WHADDYA MEAN, WHAT KEPT YOU!
Heyho, and another one out of the way at last.. It's another huge
issue, at least by our terms, we really should get around to doing
these a bit more often perhaps.. This one almost broke a couple of
chairs whilst I was getting it together, and yes, we've had to leave
some articles out until next time.. So no Lynx reviews just yet!
Well, what to say.. This issue was finished over the weekend of the
5th-7th July 1996, a little bit later than even I had planned for, as
we were waiting for certain last minute contributions.. No complaints
there, and I'm very grateful, but these things can't be rushed..
Putting it all together was a laugh, and honed my deductive powers to
Sherlock Holmes level, as on the Friday night, Mr Random and Mr
Untraceable visited my Falcon when I was transferring the Falcon data
files to floppy.. A massive initial panic ensued when Maggie Twenty no
longer worked from Floppy. A couple of hours of trying to guess what
the problem was, and blaming each different component in turn, led me
to compile it again, and this time it worked!! At about 2.30-3.00am in
the morning, I was not in the mood to break out the victory champagne,
and staggered to bed..
Saturday morning sees this finish off ok, and so on Saturday night, I
turn to deal with the ST version.. Things go swimmingly until I hit
upon an interesting Directory bug in 1stWord Plus at about 1am whilst
bashing the textfiles into some sort of (72 column) shape that the
Delta Force displayer can deal with.. It is really too late for that
sort of thing so I go to bed again.. Finally, and working against a
Felice arriving very shortly time limit on the Sunday night, I'm doing
the very last bit of all, which happens to be this README file..
Pause for doorbell..
Felice now happens to be here, and is suggesting that I include the
Titan Web site press release in here.. Which I will now do..
Here comes a very last minute thing for Titan/Black Scorpion fans..

Maggie Twenty is another of those landmark issues.. Just about all
recent issues happen to be celebrating some sort of anniversary or
other.. It is only a couple of issues ago that we were celebrating year
five, and now this is the sixth birthday issue.. Are we in danger of
being weighted down by too much nostalgia and past heritage??
Ok, Time to go..
We must apologise for the poems!! They were not my idea!!
That's really it for now..
CiH - July 7th 1996..
