Kojiki or Furukotofumi, also known in English as the "Records
of Ancient Matters", is the oldest surviving book in Japan.

The ROM-image is slightly larger than 65536 bytes because it
has a header for NES emulators. The executable size on the
real machine is precisely 65536 bytes!

The recommended emulators for viewing this demo are the latest
versions of Nintendulator and Nestopia. All others suck at
various parts (tricky timing, PPU tricks etc.). Do remember,
that emulation will probably never be as accurate as the real
hardware. Even the best emulators will fsck up some of the
          effects.

Pressing the buttons on the gamepad may cause some interesting
things this time. Try it out after the newsreader fades out.

This production marks the first time we actually were able to
          develop our own production tools:

Introducing the best damn nametable-editor for NES:

                                    N.O.S.F.E.

Nametable Obfuscator System, Famicom Edition (v0.3)

Coming soon to an internets near you.

I'm writing this at 0:35 on Friday, the day of the party. I'm
very tired, and I have coded since 14:00. I think it's about
finished now. This production was a big learning experience
for me, as I actully wrote the engine almost completely from
          scratch.

I decided I wouldn't use any leftover code from the
Quantum Disco Brothers engine, so I'll have to call this one
the Quantum Engine just because it looks and runs like it,
but it actually is ways and ways better =)

Keep the software developer flag high, signing out.
